The Engineers Week Planning Committee develops programs for the Maine engineering community that are timely and of regional and national interest. Our recent past speakers have been
- 2002 - Ms. Amy Ross of the NASA Johnson Space Center presented on the extra-vehicular space suit development program
- 2003 - Mr. Larry Roth, Chair of The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) spoke on the Critical Infrastructure Response Initiative within the homeland security framework.
- 2004 - Ms. Missy Cummings, Boeing Profession of Aeronautic and Astronautics at MIT who spoke on her experiences s one the nations first female fighter pilots and her research on human-in-the-loop interaction with automated systems.
- 2005 - Mr. Rick Smith and Ms. Carol Fleischman, Hydrogen Energy Center were treated to an informative and entertaining review of hydrogen energy technology, how hydrogen energy systems work, the obstacle standing in the way of widespread hydrogen use, and opportunities offered by this technology for Maine and Maine businesses.
