| Official Maine E-Week 2008 Website There is a lot in store for us all as we celebrate National Engineers Week and Maine Engineers Week during the week of February 25 - March 1.
Our program this year is shaping up to be as spectacular as last, starting with our Annual Banquet Dinner at the Penobscot Valley Country Club on Friday evening February 29. This year's banquet speaker will be Mike Fisher,
Managing Director of NASCAR's Research and Development Center. He
will give an inside view on how engineers have become an integral
part of every NASCAR team, specializing in data collection and
analysis, research and development in this highly competitive industry.
This is an opportunity for engineers and their spouses, friends and
family to gather, renew friendships and meet others in their
profession. Please be sure to register early as we expect banquet
seating to go fast! For more information or to register for the
banquet, download the brochure at the left side of this page or
contact Be Schonewald, P.E.
The fantastic dinner event will be followed the next day by the
unprecedented 2008 Expo event at the University of Maine Field House, Orono. At the EXPO, exhibitors will include Maine's top engineering firms, engineering colleges, government agencies and
manufacturing firms featuring hands-on activities, demonstrations
and interactive exhibits for children and their parents, engineers and
educators. Last year's event attracted about 1200 people from all over Maine and New Hampshire. Bookmark this page to keep watch for more
