A poll taken in 1998 indicated that 61% of adults felt "not very well" or "not at all well" informed about engineering. MEPC is making an effort to change that statistic for the benefit of engineers and the future of the engineering profession.

At MEPC, we strongly believe that engineering has a direct impact on the quality of life of the people of Maine. Engineers are concerned with business principles, safety, ethics, and the environment. In our state and throughout the world, they play a major role in achieving economic stability, growth, and improving the human condition.
